Letošní motto festivalu odkazuje ke koloběhu přírody. Zvuk je všudypřítomný fenomén – prostupuje námi, naším okolím i celou přírodou. Pro letošní ročník jsme se inspirovali představou, že stejně jako rostliny a plody i hudba potřebuje péči: musí se zasít, pěstovat, kultivovat – aby bylo co sklízet.
Sklizeň obvykle přichází na podzim, stejně jako Jazz Goes to Town. Každý rok znovu rozséváme nápady a s nasazením pracujeme na tom, aby říjen přinesl plody naší snahy. Období čekání je přitom dobou nejistoty, jelikož podmínky vedoucí k úspěchu nejsou výhradně v našich rukách, stejně tak, jako zemědělci neovlivní vývoj počasí. Co nás drží, je naděje a upřímná víra, že vytváříme něco mimořádného a obohacujícího.
Přijďte přivonět a ochutnat úrodu z našeho políčka. Je šťavnatá, svěží – a zní skvěle.

The motto of this year's festival refers to the cycle of nature. Sound is an omnipresent phenomenon, pervading our beings, nature, and everything around us. This year's inspiration was the idea that just like plants and fruits, music requires care: it needs to be sown, grown, and cultivated so that there is something to reap.
Harvest usually comes in autumn, and so does the Jazz Goes to Town festival. Every year, we sow the ideas and work relentlessly to see the fruits of our efforts ripe in October. The months before the event are full of expectations and uncertainty, for just as farmers are sometimes at the mercy of the weather, our success often depends on circumstances that are out of our hands. What motivates us, however, is hope and an honest belief that we are creating something extraordinary and enriching.
Come smell and taste the harvest of our field. It is fresh, juicy – and sounds wonderful.
